In the nine years since their inception, Skegss (singer/guitarist Ben Reed, bassist/guitarist/vocalist, and drummer Jonny Lani) have emerged as one of Australia's most electrifying and unpredictable rock bands. From their laid-back, small-town roots, they’ve become the unlikely anti-heroes of the country’s vibrant rock scene, and their music continues to spark chaos on stage, from intimate venues to massive festival crowds.
Last year the band released their highly anticipated third studio album, Pacific Highway Music, which saw them shift their sound while staying true to the unapologetic energy they've become known for. The album blends raw rock ‘n’ roll with alt-rock and indie influences, capturing the restless spirit of their generation.
With their signature high-energy performances and unapologetic stage presence, Skegss’ Open Season performance is set to be a must-see event for fans old and new alike.
Open Season is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland’s QASP and Strategic Partnership’s fund.
