Senior Marketing Manager
The Senior Marketing Manager is a key leadership role, responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies that amplify the brand presence of The Tivoli Group and drive ticket sales, audience engagement, and overall business growth.
This role is perfect for an experienced marketing professional passionate about music, arts, and digital innovation. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in music and arts marketing, a deep understanding of audience behavior, and the expertise to leverage contemporary digital marketing trends to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing and Communication Strategies & Execution
- Develop and lead comprehensive marketing strategies for The Tivoli, The Princess Theatre, Double Agency, and for its associated events and festivals.
- Oversee all marketing campaigns, ensuring they are engaging, on-brand, and results-driven.
- Drive ticket sales and audience growth by crafting compelling campaigns tailored to specific events and target demographics.
- Stay at the forefront of digital and music marketing trends to implement innovative strategies.
- Be responsible for event announcements and on-sale strategies in collaboration with key promoters and clients.
- Oversee marketing and promotional budgets.
- Maintain a strong focus on diversity and inclusion throughout all facets of the role.
- Understand and implement accessibility strategies.
Brand Management
- Build and maintain The Tivoli Group’s dynamic and recognisable brand identity across all platforms.
- Ensure consistency and excellence in brand communication, from digital to physical collateral.
- Act as a brand custodian, elevating The Tivoli Group’s reputation locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of websites and social media platforms.
Digital Marketing
- Lead the development and execution of high-impact digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, SEO, and paid advertising.
- Analyse campaign performance, generating actionable insights and optimizing for growth.
- Leverage data-driven strategies to enhance customer experience and engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with programming, operations, and ticketing teams to align marketing efforts with organisational goals.
- Build relationships with artists, promoters, sponsors, and media partners to maximise promotional opportunities.
Team Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and foster creativity and excellence within the marketing department.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
ABOUT YOU
Essential
- A minimum of 5+ years experience in a senior marketing role, preferably within the music, arts, or entertainment sectors.
- Demonstrated success in ticket sales and audience growth through innovative marketing campaigns.
- Expertise in digital marketing, including social media strategy, content creation, and paid advertising.
- Strong understanding of the music and arts industries, including audience trends and market dynamics.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing teams and budgets.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
- A creative and data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse and optimise performance metrics.
- Understanding and having a passion for diversity and inclusion.
- Creative flair and thinking outside the box.
Desirable
- Experience working with iconic brands or venues.
- Familiarity with Brisbane’s cultural landscape and audience demographics.
- Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and email marketing software.

The Tivoli Group is a renowned entertainment company based in Brisbane (Magandjin), Australia. The Tivoli Group consists of The Tivoli, The Princess Theatre (including Fables Bar & Cafe), Double Agency and Open Season. Our two heritage venues on opposite sides of the river, The Tivoli and The Princess Theatre, are known for their vibrant atmosphere, exceptional acoustics, and commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences for audiences and artists alike.
Double Agency is a creative production house specialising in curating, promoting, and commissioning dynamic content within the realm of music and live performance, including Open Season.
Now in its fifth year, Open Season is The Tivoli Group’s curated program of music and arts that runs from May to July across Brisbane. Open Season 2025 will feature over 30 performances across six venues.

THE FINER DETAILS
- Contract Term: Full-time, 12-month initial term with view to extend into a permanent position.
- Work Type: Minimum of four in-person days in the Fortitude Valley office.
- Commencement: May 2025.
- Payment Package: Variable depending on experience + 11.5% super + leave entitlements.
- Please Note: The successful candidate will be replacing our existing Marketing Director, who will be going on maternity leave and returning to the business in a different role in early 2026. There will be a cross-over/handover period in May/June.
