The Tivoli is thrilled to have Brissie's own Good Boy be among the first artists to grace the venue's new What's Golden stage in October.
In the last 12 months, Good Boy have released their third EP "Shirk Life", sold out an entire Australian tour, toured with Grinspoon, Skegss, Japandroids, Hockey Dad and The Creases as well as lighting up the stage at Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival and Boogie Festival.
Prior to this huge past year, the band released two critically acclaimed and hugely loved EPs, played Laneway Festival and Yours & Owls (and many more) and released only one of the songs of the generation in "Poverty Line".
Good Boy are a band that defy pigeonholing and in the lead up their debut album, they'll be surprising more and more people as one of the best live bands in Australia.
“Good Boy are prepping the needle for an impromptu stick ‘n’ poke that’ll turn out to be your favourite tattoo. They’re not just another band – they’re THE F*CK*NG BAND.” - Ryan Saar, Soundly Sounds
"Bundaberg natives Good Boy are a delightfully curious prospect, insofar as their versatility and genre-defiant abnormalities means they fare far better than your average guitar-twanging slackers. They may tack on knowingly dumb song titles like ‘Ya Mum’s Ya Dad’ or ‘Braap’, but contained within are sharply written and versatile exercises in power-trio prosperity." - David James Young, The Brag
