Formed in Kathmandu in the early 1990s, 1974 AD is one of Nepal's most iconic and successful rock bands. Renowned for their unique fusion of traditional Nepali folk music with western rock, blues and jazz, the band blends native and western instruments to create a sound that is both distinctive and timeless.

Among Nepal's best-selling recording artists, 1974 AD has released multiple chart-topping albums, with many consistently ranking among the country's top-selling records according to Hits FM Nepal.

Performing primarily in Nepali, their music explores themes of patriotism, unity, love and national pride while showcasing their versatility across a wide range of musical styles.
